You want a therapist who speaks to you like a human being, not a textbook. You want to heal from pain, while also finding find some joy and hope. You’re looking for someone who gives you actionable suggestions instead of just asking, “and how does that make you feel?” Believe me, I get it.

In your sessions with me, we do work on your obstacles and fears, but we also find healthy, realistic choices for you to improve the quality of your life. If you want kind, honest, supportive counselling that feels like a conversation, not a monologue or a lecture, then I’m a good fit for you.

My practice uses coaching methods along with traditional therapy. You’re given real guidance and suggestions, instead of being asked to figure it all out for yourself. I’m here to listen and support you. I’m also here to hand you a flashlight, instead of leaving you to find your own way in the dark.

My methods are mainly ‘person-centered’ and ‘solution focused’. I talk with you, not at you. Appointments with me may include action-based and/or somatic therapy. These can help you break patterns, build new habits, feel safe in your body, and feel more in control of your mental health and your life.

I’m a registered Therapeutic Counsellor, licensed through ACCT, a certified Life Coach since 2014, and an advisory member of the UPCP/ACTRA Mental Health and Accessibility Committee. I’m trauma-informed, with a holistic, informal approach, and a tendency to swear occasionally.

I help you with issues like anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, grief, burnout, performance anxiety, creative blocks, past trauma, recovering from narcissistic relationships, boundary setting, healthy communication, high-sensitivity, hyper-independence, self-esteem, and more.

Is A Good Place right for you?

Safe and Kind: Your sessions are a supportive space for you. Non-judgmental, private, and confidential.

Holistic Healing: Combining talk therapy, person-centered therapy, somatic methods, mindfulness, and life coaching methods.

Convenient Appointments:  By phone or Zoom. Tailored to accommodate your schedule.

Affordable rates: Standard 50 minute sessions for $135. Optional 80 minute sessions for $185. 

Choices in Scheduling: Appointments can be weekly, every 10 days, or every two weeks.

Maintenance Sessions: Once-per-month sessions are available after six months of standard appointments.

Open to all cultures, and an LGBTQ2S+ ally: My practice is welcoming, respectful, and inclusive.

One-on-One Counselling: Therapy for adults over 19. My practice doesn’t counsel children, families, or couples. 

Neurodivergent experienced: I’m comfortable working with people who are mild-to-moderate on the spectrum.

Heated Rivalry-friendly: We can talk about Shane and Ilya, and Canadian wolf-birds as much as you want to.

Absolutely No Use of AI: I’m a human, my intelligence and communications are human, always.
